View Full Version : A sexist experiment

For whatever reason chicks don't seem to like to fess up to how much they weigh, so I thought it would be fun to do a thread where we see how many males compared to females will admit to what they tip the scale at.

I now weigh 180 pounds. How about you?

Edit: I'm 5 feet 11.5" tall if anybody wondered.

I'm guessing that this sexist experiment will also have (intentionally) sexist results.

If you're actually serious, then I think you'd need to know the percent of female and male readers of this thread vs. the percentage of female and male respondents to this thread in order for the results to be of any significance. I agree that "chicks don't seem to like to fess up to how much they weigh", but you know that there'll be more guys responding w/ actual weights and it can then be argued that this is because there are more guys in this forum.

Sidenote --- since we can't SEE each other, I'm going to argue that it's much easier for women to be less self conscious and/ or fudge their numbers, so let's add 25% to all of the female responses :D :D :D .

But, oh heck, it's just a poll in "Foo", so wtf am I rambling on about? I weigh 180 (male...obviously : ) ) .

All right, since everyone else is telling... 57 kilos or 126 pounds. Only slightly more than Christian Bale in The Machinist. Except I don't look scary.

I'm still hoping to slim down a bit to help my climbing. That said, I was 127 pounds at the end of high school (at essentially my current height), so I doubt I'll ever become lighter than you currently are. How tall are you, anyway?

And as jyo noted, my diet isn't the greatest. I eat too much junk, and just too much in general. There's definitely some excess flab on me. Notably in the lower obliques.

Holy macaroni :eek:

If she is 200 at least, her bmi is 33

BMI Categories:

* Underweight = <18.5
* Normal weight = 18.5-24.9
* Overweight = 25-29.9
* Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater

It must be those guns.

I'm 178cm, or 5' 10". My diet's generally pretty good, though the cheap Sichuan fast-food restaurants near where I live are *really* cheap and pretty tasty. Hard to resist.

You're thin! Man, if I could be your weight (never mind your size scaled down to my height), even without any additional power, I could cut out about 5% of my rider + bike weight, so I'd climb about 5% faster, so I'd cut out about 6 minutes (!!!) from my favorite climb. Okay, that's it... I need to start eating healthier.

Male. ARound 240-250, depends on time of day and how much I've eaten recently. Also about 6' 1-2". I always seem to shock people when I tell them how much I weigh, I don't know if thats a good thing or a bad thing, but I know I could lose about 20lbs, which really isn't that much to me...
