I have a set of these on my Bridgestone which was someone's project bike and I really like them. Now I'm getting ready to put together a project of my own and a found another pair for sale locally for $90. I've been told the New Success group was an attempt to compete with Campagnolo Record, but that's really all I know.
Soo... What would you experts consider a fair price for these?

$90?, no. The Sachs stuff was OK, but it wasn't Mavic. I like that it's farly simple and durable and often CHEAP cause there's no demand for it so perfect for fitting up a rider that doesn't have to impress anyone. Unless Sachs has suddenly caught cache (doubt it), I wouldn't spend any more than $60 for a perfect example. I'm a cheapskate, but I know what "value" is.

Sach New Success was made by Campagnolo and badged as Sachs. It's an interesting group and worth buying for its utility but is only worth around 75% of what the old Athena group it was based upon is worth. $60 for the crank, in mint shapes sounds about right. The brifters are worth more.

+1, it's Campy quality but with another name. I wouldn't pay Campy prices though. You can still buy NIB Athena and Chorus 8 speed era cranks from $85- $100 a used Sachs for $90 is way too high. Good luck

That's pretty much what I was thinking. $60 seems like a fair price as they are in nice shape. I'll make them an offer and see what they say.
