I googled Mapquest. Trying to talk a couple members of our club to take the early train up to Beziers, France to see the departing Tour De France. Mapquest says Bezieres is only 75.2 miles from our town.
TOur leaves Bezieres a little after 8 am.
76 miles. A snap since it gets dark at almost 10 PM. But, how do we get back. Cant ride on the peage. How to find the right route. Only have until next week to find the right way home.
Not afraid of getting lost, just think winging it back home is no way to avoid bad roads for traffic. Anyone in Europe rode the Mediterranean coast in the south of France heading in the direction of Spain. Any recommendations as to routing.
I notice on my Mechilin Map, for much of this distance there are coastal roads. BUt they often dip inland- wonder what those diversions will be like? Where these roads pleasant riding.
