I've got a 52" Surly Cross-check in the original blue that marked its first year of production. However, I dont have the matching fork. That year, the fork was a 1" threadless. Does anyone know where I can get one used, no matter how beat up? The Surly company sympathised, but they weren't any help. I tried to post this same message at the "Wanted to buy" section, but I can't seem to get access. Anyhow, I figured one of you might have one laying around.

jason,
does it have to be the surly fork? i just saw this on spicer's site:
http://www.spicercycles.com/index.cgi?cat=29&sub_cat=Forks&prod_id=419&cat_desc=Close-outs

you can't go wrong for 25 bucks.

What I've got now is a chrome Tange mtb fork and it just looks out of place on my bike. I really like the old school luggs and aesthetics of the surly cross check fork. But you're right, that spicer fork seems like a "steel." A bargain is really a requirement for me, because I'd hate to drop over $100 just to make my ride a little prettier.
