I have an older Kestrel, 1992, model is 500 SCI. I just found out that the real deraileur hanger has a crack and could break. Can anyone tell me:

can this be fixed?

Is this common? I hate to junk this frame, it has been great for 15 years.

Is it a steel frame? Can you post a picture of the crack?

Thanks for your reply. This is a one-piece carbon fiber frame, and the hanger is part of this frame.

I can't post a photo right now, I will lok into it.
