Ooops. I busted the traffic control arm at the guard shack today.

My employer's landlord is pissed that the whole town uses their land as a through street. There have been signs on the doors saying the entrances would be closed on weekends "to enforce our private road status".

I rode to work today (Saturday) on my 14 speed road bike. I was head down mashing up the hill when...crack. Huh? Oh yeah, the road is closed today. Oh well, just pedal up the hill fast before someone notices I just broke the arm of the guard shack baricade. :D

Here, there is a church who has a great cut-through to ditch a light. Yesterday, I came within inches of clothes-lining myself on the new chain.

Glad it sounds like there were no injuries. I wouldn't fess that one up to the boss either, shoulda put a guard in that shack, and I have a grudge against 2x4's.

It's weird how I don't watch where I'm going sometimes. Always on very familiar low traffic roads. Last winter I ran over a dead deer laying on the side of the road. Never saw it coming. Daydreaming about something. I think after riding the same route so many times, I get lazy and don't pay attention.

Its amazing how easily the guard shack arm broke away. There is a little line on my left arm that must be a scrape, but it didn't hurt at all.
