We rented the DVD, "Syriana", today. It's an interesting movie about
the complex ties of the Middle East to corrupt Western business and
politics. It's based on the book, "See No Evil". Seeing the movie
makes me want to read the book. This is a must-see for Car-Free
folks, as it will probably provide further inspiration for your lifestyle.

I'd say about 5 pages of the book are noticeable in the movie. But yeah, the premise that we're each other's b*tch (muslim oil US dependancy) and how unbelievably dumb the CIA is when iy comes to field work and its top heavy careerist culture. Great book, absolutely recommend. The movie was kind of fun to watch, despite the subject matter.

While it had its moments,
I was dissapointed in the movie.

I much preferred Al Gore's movie,
"An Inconvenient Truth." Now, that
was a movie that should be shown
in every home, church, school room,
jail and prison in Amerika and indeed,
throughout the entire world.

That book is great. It should be a classroom textbook.

I would rate Syriana a 7 out of 10.
