THE LOVE BOAT ON TVLAND!! Does this make me old? How can it be possible that I remember every original episode from a show that is now on TVLAND?? I remember when my grandmother would watch The Lucy Show on Nick-at-Night until the wee hours of the morning.

BTW, the A-Team is also on TVLAND.

:D Boy, am I giddy!

Charo was on the show tonight. She was singing La Bamba. I think I still have a pre-adolescent crush on her!

I dunno, but I love the Gomer Pyle USMC show, I watch it everyday at work. They just don't make TV shows like they used to.

Best show out there has to be The Andy Griffith Show.

Out here they started at the same week the A - team, Knight rider and Mcgyver, A buddy of mine missed the first episode of the A-team, now he has to wait five years for a second chance :D

The A Team were the best, no one ever got shot, and they made high tech gadgits out of used toilet rolls and washing up liquid bottles..

Amazing!!!

No, Baker, this does not make you old! This makes you cool.

I am shocked when my 18 year old daughter talks about shows like "90210" (something like that) as being "old." And the fact that she doesn't know who "99" is makes me want to weep!

I have stayed exactly the same age, while the world has been getting younger.

I always thought 90210 was a stupid show, 90210 is nothing compared to Leave it To Beaver (the original on TVland):D :D :D

Whoever thought up, "TV Land" was an absolute genius.

My favorites are the "Retromercials." Think about it. If it's still being sold 20, 25, 35 years later, you can still buy it. And the fact that it's still around after all these years proves it's superior (or something.)

Hey, I may even rethink my "Anti-McDonald's prejudice." It's just a "retroburger!"

(A little beef-fat won't hurt me once in a while...)

:D Say, "Cheese!"

Then again, there's "Twip." ;)

...all beef patty, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun...

Have I mentioned that I don't even like the Big Mac. You're right Pete. TVland commercials are really cool.

Na, na, na...

TWO all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame-seed bun!

Oh yeah, for some reason I forgot that there are TWO patties on a Big Mac from everybody's favorite fast food store...McDeath. TWO just doesn't fit into the song melodically, so I forgot.

I can't stand mcdonalds, their burgers are the worst. Sonic is my favorite, their burgers aren't greasy and they still make REAL shakes. Not those warm, air filled, mucus texture things you get at Mcdonalds and Burger King.

fubar, You're so right. Sonic is splendiforous!

af, I like the nomer: McDeath! You can sort of hear Darth Vader's theme in the background

One of the people I work with worked at a Mcdonalds before she joined the AF, she has some pretty gross stories about what happens "behind" the scenes.

Anyone who has EVER worked at a restaurant can tell you some terrible stories. I worked at a Mexican Restaurant / beer dive when I was in college. It was disgusting what was happening in the kitchen everyday.

No you don't, it concerns molded ice cream, used dropped meat patties, and using the wrong oil to fry fish sticks.

I spit on a hamburger that my boss ate one day. :D :D

I worked at a hamburger place while I was in high school. We ran a pretty good operation, so no real horror stories.
I was the night manager, and my grill man took great pride in how clean he could get the grill in the evening before we closed up. It was a very quiet night, and as it was nearing closing time and we hadn't had anyone in for awhile, I told the grill man to go ahead and clean the grill, so we could go home a little early. You guessed it, two minutes before I locked the lobby doors, a guy walks in and orders a hamburger! I peeked around the corner to see that the grill was as clean as the day it was delivered, and I didn't have the heart to get it dirty for one 'burger. So, I took the hamburger and threw it in the deep fat frier with the customers french fries! It actually browned right up! This was back in the days before the 100% beef fad came in, so with all the fillers, it may have been the most flavorful 'burger we ever searved! I don't recall if that guy ever came back though........

Ahh, the good ol' days!

I remember being the grill man...and the time I knocked that bucket of ice into the fryer. I'd never seen what hot grease looked like boiling over onto the floor before!

It seems like yesterday...

LOL Pete! One of the favorite tricks of the front men was to drop a piece of ice into one of the deep fat friers as they were walking from the ice machine to the front. The ice would sit in the hot oil for a couple of minutes before the excitement would start! No wonder the guys at the grill were always mad at the front guys!
