Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I have a 278km (172mi) charity ride on the first weekend of August. It's not a race, just a ride, although I know parts of it will turn to a race. I thought it was quite far until I see some of the distances posted here. Well done everyone. Nevertheless, it's quite a big ride for me - did 175km last year and my day was ended by my second flat. This year I'm logging some decent miles and should be more than ready from that point of view. I was wondering about what to eat the week before the event and the day of the event.
Thanks,
