Hi folks, I've been looking at a tri bike (1995) that has Shimano 600 components. I'm not familiar with these components...can anyone tell me anything about them? Are they high end, low end, etc? thanks Frank

600 is the old name for ultegra.
As Munckee says - older Ultegra. I had this on a previous bike. Good, solid and reliable groupset.

On this sort of topic, where did RX-100 fit into Shimano's scheme?? I have the vague impression they're 105ish, but am not really sure.

I remember RX-100 by name, but can't remember exactly where it fit in the line up. I want to say that it was a step or maybe two down from 105.
1999 was the last year for the RX100 group.
Road components in order from top to bottom went: Dura-Ace, Ultegra, 105, RX100, RSX, 300EX.
