I just registered and wanted to write a quick note and say hi to everyone.

After months of debate, I've finally decided to get into cycling more seriously. I'm an inline skater primarily and wanted a good alternate activity for cross training. I'm also looking at competing in some duathlons and triathlons so the bike is a must to prepare for those events.

So far I'm loving my new road bike. I snagged a nice deal on a new '05 Giant OCR1 to use as a starter bike and if I get serious enough down the road I can look at other options.

So far the few rides that I have been on have been alot of fun and a good workout to boot. I'm a bit of a speed addict so the road bike is just my thing. I can definitely see cycling competing with my skating time! :)

Now to join a local cycling club and start getting out for some group rides too.

Anyways, see you around the forums!
