Australia - New Zealand - The Aussie thread. . . part cinq.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Is that right? I always thought they were bigger - 'specially with the gas fields and all. Used to go to Sale a lot as a kid (sister's family lived there) and it certainly seems bigger now than it did all those years ago.
Latrobe Valley has the power industry and the paper mill. The population in Morwell and Moe has actually decreased. Morwell was about 17000 at the end of the 80's - about 13500 now because of privatisation etc.
Sale has gotten bigger with some nice estates. Must be all those catholics breeding. It's a nice looking town but I hate the place myself - without really being able to pinpoint why. It's a bit cliquey IMO - National Party/cow cockies/landed gentry types, plus it slows me down when I'm heading east:D Luckily I now know a shortcut so never have to go there anymore.
The old Sale-Maffra bike club used to race at the RAAF base. Excellent circuit - 1.2km rectangle with big wide roads on hotmix. Closed off. Fantastic. I got a ticking off when I was a kid off an MP for riding onto the runaway/hanger area to check out the F16's.:)

Well then, I guess you'll have to move closer to the big smoke if you want to view some more acceptable female forms. How about Pakenham?:p
Pakenham Upper?

The old Pakenham Upper joke. The joke that just keeps on giving.:D
This is exactly the sort of foolishness that's been sorely missed.

NZ has its own fundamental cult/church called "Destiny" that seems to do very nicely than you for the self ordained bishop in charge. http://www.destinychurch.org.nz/
We were wandering past the local branch during a Saturday night service when the bishop was obviously in attendance. This I could tell from the line up of custom built choppers outside on the footpath. The bishop likes to ride a chopper and seems to have a number of outriders with him wherever he goes. It's a strange irony that the other organisations in NZ that do very well financially and whose leaders hoon about on hogs with outriders tend to go by names such as the Filthy Few, Head Hunters and Hells Angels.

If ya can't beat em join em. I'm going to start my own cult.
I'm not sure about the details yet but rest assured that all female members between the ages of 18 and 26 are in for the full sin and redemption package -even the fat ones. I'm willing to make sacrafices for my beliefs. As an added bonus Tom Cruise or Madonna won't be allowed to join.
Will it involve spankings?:p
And after the spankings .........

Besides, I'm in the 'roomy' dept myself, so I can't be discriminating.

You got it baby. I'm working up to the guru version of defcon 4 - Demis Roussos without the beard.
Defcon 5 will be the beard and when it all turns to ****. ATF involvement, suicides, burning cult compounds, hitching rides on comets etc.

I don't live in Traralgon. I work there. I live in Morwell.
In hindsight, posting that picture should get me banned. That kaftan is a furken disgrace. Definitely a guru look though. WTF did Roussos sing anyway? I'm sure he was famous for being the only fat hairy male singer in a dress until Boy George came along.
I might put that Roussos album cover as my avatar. Pisser. Is that his fish and chip shop in the background?

Cool. People don't generally come here unless they really really have too. Can you remember where in the town? It's not that big a joint, I might even know her. Must have been exciting for you coming here, being the major holiday resort it is and all.:D
Actually, its good cycling country around here. Plenty of different roads to train on and a lot of variety - flats, climbs, mountains, nice scenery, plenty of circuits without having to ride on the same roads etc.

I think it was Connor Court or something. It wasn't too far from the shop(s) and the railway. Morwell seemed to have a villagey feel to it.

Depends which way you come into the town. if you come in through the Rose gardens (which are nice BTW) it's ok. The old part of town is nice. If you come in via some other ways it has a kind of post apocalyptic charm about it - overburden dumps, 500MV electricity towers, power stations, open cut coal mines, disused gas works etc.
I'm walking distance to the train station and shops. Probably Connan Crt, which is about 2kms from the train station, near Maccas(had to check the street index). If it was Charles Court or Collins St they they are only a block or so from my joint.
Classic1 the thread killer. Those Demis Roussos photos have scared everyone off.

Nah, mate that's just a distant unpleasant memory. the boys moved on from that within a few posts. Far more important topics to discuss like whether to teach kids to ride bikes using training wheels, the merits of carbon fibre seat bags, are padded bras false advertising.....deep and meaningful stuff like that.:D

Is there anyone with an ebay account and a vengeful side that wants to help me out? Please PM me.

You reckon I have that much influence with the boys? :)
If they want to come back, they will - but I think the discontent had probably been building for some time and KB's actions just provided the final push.
She's gone. I miss me mates.
Maybe you need to move back to Oz.;)
Uh, no. I have too much here that I would not have there.
Well then, set up a new username and come over and say "Hi" at TOP ..... go on ..... you can do it.;)
I can't be bothered to post there. This place takes up enough of my time.
