Bicycle Mechanics - Spokes popping/clicking

Question for you guys. I have a new set of American Classic CR420 700c road wheels. After being slightly out of true from the factory, I sent them back to American Classic and they trued them for me. I'm now noticing an intermittent popping/clicking which appears to be coming from my wheel spokes. It doesn't do it rhythmically or with every revolution; It just seems to do it every so often whenever it pleases.

Is this most likely my spokes? What would cause spokes to do this? Too loose or too tight?? Any ideas?

I think this sound is the spokes coming unadjusted again. Is it still true? Once after I trued a wheel, I took it for a ride and it popped a couple times, and I find it untrue a small bit now.

That's what I was thinking.....maybe the spokes are "unwinding" or seating in. However, American Classic themselves did the truing, so I am pretty sure they used the special tool that prevents the spokes from winding up when they're tightened. They still look very true....I just wish that popping would go away!

No, the special tool that American Classic makes mention of in their owner's manual. It's called a "Twist Resist" spoke clamp tool. http://www.universalcycles.com/shopping/product_details.php?id=8806&category=2140

These should be used during any wheel truing process.

An experienced wheelbuilder can eliminate most/all of the twist using their own techniques..... If it's still true I'd say just keep an eye on the spokes.
