Okay, I know that the Forerunner 305 is the better option if you're going to both bike & run, but I already have the Edge. So, that said, what is the best method to run with it? Anybody know of any armbands that will work with it? I read somewhere that maybe iPod armbands will work. What about just carrying it in my hand? (I'm getting ready to do a Duathlon - 2m run, 9.6m bike, 2m run - so I wouldn't be having to carry it for too awfully long.)

Running with it in your hand would probably suck. Maybe just stick it in the pocket of your tri shorts or jersey? Otherwise you're probably best off with duct tape...or staples :)

I have an Edge 305 that I run with sometimes. When I want to run with it, I wear a "water belt" that has a velcro pocket that JUST FITS the computer.

For the runs I've been doing recently, I haven't been needing/using a water belt, so I leave the water bottle slots empty and just use the belt as an Edge Belt!

No complaints. Except, it is important to make sure that you get a good sattelite read after hitting Start and before putting the computer in the belt, because it will give you a prompt if it gets a bad signal, and then it won't start right.

The belt is like this:

Kinda makes it hard to see your pace and HR doesn't it? I suppose this is just for after run analysis.

Well, yeah, I don't get to see the HR during the run.

The reason I want the computer during the run is so I can go on trails that aren't marked and then know what my distance and pace was.

Although, it's not too hard to pull out the thing from the velcro pocket while running.
