Hey all, I have been more or less forced off the bike for two weeks, I had the flu, my first ride in 4days was a training crit where I finished strong although I wasn't feeling too confident, then I rested the next day and raced track the following day where I crashed pretty bad. I have been off the bike since saturday from that. I anticipate being on the bike on Sunday, but my question is, how much form do you lose in 2 weeks? I have a couple of important events at the end of August and I fear I am not going to be as sharp now. What do you think? Any experiences?

Thanks

All individuals respond to time off differently. Most that train too hard can actually improve. If you are at a high level of fitness (cat1 or pro) then you can see yourself detraining. You'll know soon enough how you feel the next time on the bike. If your sluggish don't worry you'll be fine.
