work okay or do I need the Campy tool? Hope not, it's $100.00 but I thought I'd ask.

I've used a Park Chain Tool on my Record C10 chain and it works fine - but you have to be careful.

Gotta love that Campy Marketing… ;)

PS: Actually I think it's a question of liability; if my chain ever broke I'm sure they'd tell me to take a hike, but as I said I think it's fine if you are careful. Good luck!

I really appreciated the installation sheet that came with my 10-speed Wipperman 10X1 (Campy 10-speed version). It basically said to shorten the chain with any decent chain tool then fit the Conex link. No $100, soon to be obsolete, chain tools needed.
