Commuting - I don't need another bike. I don't need another bike. I don't....

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

*sighs* I miss my old Miyata, though. Took it around the world with me.

I don't need another bike either. But, hypothetically I think 20 year old steel "10 speeds" are worth $15 to $ 35. Lucky for me this one is priced too high.

I've been watching the Tour every night on OLN, and its got me wishing I had a road bike instead of my beast of an atb or as I call it the suv of bicycle commuters. I don't need another bike, I really don't, but....

I paid $150 for my Miyata, and at the time it was over 10 years old. It was easily the best bike I've ever ridden.
I've currently got a '72 Schwinn Super Sport, and a mid-80's Raleigh Technium. I've nearly abandoned the Schwinn for the Raleigh, but I still ride it occasionally.

I don't need another bike either, but I'd just about be willing to replace two with a Surly Pugsley.

I don't need another bike either, however:
n + 1 = the proper # of bikes we need
n = the # of bike you currently have.

I'm wishing to a 2nd bike 'cause mine is grounded due to dangerous fork issues. Why didn't I listen when someone said, get a 2nd bike??? My excuse was, my current bike needs constant work, I don't have the bandwidth to maintain 2. :(

But there's 5 workdays in a week:eek: You are 3 short :D
I am currently one short (although I'm toying with the idea of making my old touring bike into a fixie.)
Monday: Las Cruces
Tuesday: Cannondale
Wednesday: Stumpy
Thursday: Las Cruces or C'dale
Friday: Maybe the FSR
See what my problem is? I need another bike to fill that hole on Thursday. I know were I can find a sweet Bianchi. Humm. Or maybe I should get that Retrotec. Decisions, decisions.

You don't need it, but I bet you'd get more use out of it than the current owner. And aren't all bikes made to be ridden?

I've been purging my garage lately. My wife told me that I couldn't bring in another bike unless I got rid of one so I've sold 2 and given away 3. She owes me 4 (I got a new one recently - that orange one;) ) I suppose I could comprimise and only get 2 more, that's all for each day of the week. No need to be greedy:D

Actually, I think I just need one more. Then I'll have enough. I'm sure of it. Cross my heart...
The count is 4 now.

You can't fool me... If you are anything like me, you really mean that... and you'll really mean it when you say it with one more bike, and one more, and one more...
