View Full Version : Pirates of the Caribbean 2 (possible spoilers)
so i didn't see any threads about this yet, and wondered who had seen it. i got around to seeing it Wednesday night and enjoyed it, but:
did anyone else think it was a bit Empire Strikes Back? i mean: Han spends the whole movie trying to get out from under Jabba's bounty; Luke meets his father; and at the end Han is frozen in carbonite somewhere, while Luke and Leia have to go find him - in the company of Lando. sort of.
and Han and Leia kiss (right before Han gets frozen), though the entire first movie set up Luke and Leia as a couple.
if they're actually (half-)siblings, i'm gonna be pissed.

I just came back from seing it and I absolutly loved it! perhaps even more then the first one. johnny Depp is incredibly good in his performance. I was laughing as much as the lille kids were. It was very charming and Im so glad I went to see it!
Geeze me and bdg must have seen it at almost the same time. Almost :p
I got back about a half an hour ago from it, good movie.
Here's my problems:
Too much action, the scenes just kept going back and forth.
Why did they have to make the movie almost 3 hours long? I know its like becoming a standard to make 3 hour movies ever since LOTR trilogy came out. But sometimes it doesn't work.

Too much special effects, kind of spoiled the good acting some how.
I saw it a week or so ago. I was never bored once.
