Some members might already know that I have been looking around for a used tandem for a while. I've found a used Burley Rumba that might fit our needs. Any thoughts on this bike? We were planning on using it for light Credit Card touring.

That Rumba will work just great! If it fits and the price is right . . . do it!

All good stuff. Thank you.

Now, here is the hard part. This is an S&S model and the asking price is pretty much the new selling price at $2900.

How do I get the seller to realize that they won't be getting the MSRP?

I've had great success with craigslist, where we got our 2000 Duet in excellent condition for $900.http://portland.craigslist.org/about/cities.html

You make a reasonable non-negotiable or negotiable offer, put an expiration date on it, and see what happens. The seller can say no thanks, my price is firm, sold, or lets negotiate.
