Just got back from seeing this movie (by bicycle, of course!).

Wow, what can I say? This is a masterpiece of a documentary. I don't think it would be possible to do a better job of it. Congrats to the director David Guggenhiem and everybody else involved with the production of this movie.

Yes, it's bascially a college lecture but it's so much more. Visually stunning, the graphics are pictures are amazing!
I didn't know what to expect but it's not at all like the Ross Perot-style charts and graphs. Al Gore could've talked for another 100 min and I would not have tired of it. I found myself just rivited to the screen, not glancing away for even a second.

I know I'm not very good at movie reviews but for anybody who cares anything at all about the enviroment and global warming this is an absolute must-see. I don't want to sound like an alarmist but the future of the planet is at stake. Al Gore gives us hope for the future. This is not a doom-and-gloom project at all. He really has done his homework!

I give it an A++:)

We walked about a mile to downtown to see it, a couple of weeks ago.

I did see some of that information previously, I've even been tested on it on some college classes. I'm a geology major, climate changes are business-as-usual, but not at quite the current rate. Younger Dryas?

Although I haven't seen the film yet, I am interested in doing a bit of reading beforehand. Does anyone have a book they can recomend on this subject?

I am gonna buy about 10 copies
of the DVD and loan them out in
my community as a means of
organizing for Green issues and
local political control by progressives
who want to implement green practices
on a local level.
