Bicycle Mechanics - Know anything about Regina Chains?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Trying to track down chains for my Regina freewheels. I see the hollow pin models on eBay go for like $80 all the time. However, Bike Pro can order a Regina 50 SL chain, that is supposedly hollow pin for $30, only I have to buy at least two... no sweat. So you think these are the same chains?

Don't bother !!!! Just get a sram chain. The Rigina chains I've tried, and I hate to say this, are not worth buying. I am being "polite" here. A Sram, ( formerly Sedis), 8 spd chain will work just fine on a Regina 7 spd freewheel. I can't recall which Sedis I used on the 5 and 6 spds.

A chain is a chain. Any 7-speed chain will fit on any 7-speed freewheel. The brand is not important unless you are trying to do the 'perfect' restoration.
The SRAM (Sedis/Sachs) PC58 chain will work on any 7-speed and sell for about $15~$17.00. and that includes a reusable masterlink. SRAM chains are available at virtually every bike shop.
an 8 speed sram even works on 6 speed.
