I'm hoping to cycle the Santiago route this summer for about 3 weeks. I've been before on my own but as \i don't speak Spanish I found that somedays I didn't meet any English speaking travellers and missed the company. Last town I got the ferry to Santander from England and then cycled over the mountains to Burgos. This time I thought about cycling over to Pamplona and starting there.

I'm in Dumbarton which is north of Glasgow - I've been to Santiago before but not speaking Spanish meant there were days when I spoke to no-one!!!!!!!!!! Now that the weans are older and being a teacher I'm trying to be more adventurous in my old age and I must admit that I really enjoyed my last trip to Spain

Dumbarton.....Hey really. My Daughter lives in "Helensburgh" with her husband and three children, They do their shopping in Dum`on. I go up and stay with them a few days each year.
Love it around there, its so scenic.
Cycled up to visit her Summer before last, 2 days there and back th`o,160 miles each way, to much for one day LOL.
