Professional Cycling For the Fans - I still think George can win

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Well that makes me 2.
George is one of my 2 favorites. He still is a better cyclist than anyone posting on this thread. Jelously rears its ugly head.

It's also tough that he has an IQ of 80.
I remember seeing him dominate the best this country had as a 7-11 junior and it took more than an 80 IQ so I guess that says alot about American cycling. The guy can kick. Disco's problen is the lack of leadership. If I was Disco I'd be hunting a new DS. JB stinks.
Euro, you are one ugly son of a *****!
I'm still a better cyclist than you, plus I'm richer and have a more beautiful wife.

Now we know you're full of crap....I haven't seen your wife or your bank book....But a better cyclist???...you're a Pom for fark sake...it's genetically impossible for Poms to be good at any sport, let alone cycling! :D

This may very well be true, but what you DO seem to be is a really sh*tty person...good cyclist or not. I have many friends who are British, including my girlfriend, who are wonderful people. What on Earth happened to you?

I invented a persona to deliberately upset and confuse people like you. Why? Because it's so easy.

Barry Bonds may have been the most gifted baseball player ever (pre-HGH, that is), but that didn't stop him from being a complete d!ck.
You know we love you, EURO. You come here for the love and attention you are not receiving from the missus...

I am neither confused nor upset. There is precious little an anonymous internet blowhard such as yourself can do, or say to upset me. It has been tried before in this forum and it didn't work then either.
Have a nice day.

What is the old saying about those that talk about all they get and all they have are in desperate need of both. Sounds just like you.

Please translate this Brit/Aussie lingo : "Pom" and "cobber"?

Pom = English person, dervives from the letters the 1st convicts had sewn on their uniforms Prisoner Of her Majesty..Not usually an insult, (depends on the WAY it's used). In the same vein as 'seppo' for you guys, not an insult, more a description of who you are or where you come from
Cobber= mate, buddy, pal, friend.....not in general use anymore,an older term, more likely used by our forefathers or by smartarse poms who think they are funny

I don't have time to read this whole thread at the moment cause I'm at work. But I wanted to comment...
It seems that after his first bad time trial George seemed to have given up. It was all mental.
What I mean is the only thing that stopped George from doing much better this tour was him. He has the ability to win the tour. But ultimately he has decided not to for whatever reason.....for this tour any way.

So...you gunna share it...or just talk about it! :D

Pommy

From the Austrialian Dictionary....
A pasty looking race of people from an island located off Northern Europe who are allergic to soap and water.
Except it isn't. Compared to me, you are a crap cyclist and your wife is a pig.
Easy statements to make when one isn't willing to back them up.
By the way, I just turned pro and my wife is a supermodel.
Wow, that was easy. Now I'm cool too. You're ridiculous, Euro.

You're ridiculous, Euro.
And you are so stupid that you really don't get that I'm just aimlessly winding people up!! :) :) :)
Thanks for falling for my trick!

Amusing but probably as about as accurate as "For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge", "To Insure Promptness" and "Ship High In Transit". Have a look on http://www.snopes.com/language/acronyms/pommy.htm

George, as nice and well like as he may be, will always be a water boy in my books.
Edit: **Ahem*** Lieutenant for the George fans. :)
I presume that 176th in the Ardechoise, gold in Marmotte and doing the Alp D'Huez under an hour is pretty good. I don't know cause I've never done any of them but it is probably more than most BF surfers have accomplished.
Euro tries to get under BF members skins and you all fall for it like a bunch of newbs on thier first day with clipless. :). Judging by this thread, his ability in this aspect is world class.

Lieutenant or water boy...George will always get be admired by me. We has completed eight tours and was there for all seven of Lance's victories. He kept his head down did his job and was there when they needed him. I don't think the strategy of not naming a leader helped him or disco...a man, (or woman), has to have something to fight for. Not failing as an announced leader would of put more pressure on George and Disco lighting that fire that the team lacked...Not naming a leader was a cop out.
You Da Man George!

If that isn't enough to end this thread and get everyone out to ride instead of exercising their fingers, I don't know what will.
And no, that ain't a picture of Euro's or my wife. I just found it bootylicious.
I am a George fan, I had the opportunity to ride with him at a charity event last year. He is a perfect gentleman and a class act. He didn't ride as well as he, and we would have liked in the tour. He still gave his interviews, expressed his disappointment and rode to the best of his ability. He was humbled and let his humility show. I wonder how well his critics accept defeat. Kudos do George for his accomplishments and shame on those of you who spew vile at a good man.

Spew vile?
Spew vile?
It's like extra strength bile. While originally used by the space program to clean heat shields, now it's only used when spewed at over-hyped Tour hopefuls. :)
Vile is a very dangerous substance and should not be spewed lightly.
