Road Bike Racing - Ltdl

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Looks like Saturn team rider Tom Danielson is going to win the LTDL, with one stage remaining he is leading and should be able to hold his lead on the last stage. I follow the races in the US and abroad but have to admit I have never heard of him. I know it is early in the season for most of the big teams but it is going to be a big win for him and saturn. Whats his story?.

He won it. I watched it over television. The last stage had the general classification cancelled. That means that the yellow jersey and if I'm correct, the best Asian rider classification was over on the second last stage, the Genting Highlands stage.
It was really cool to watch it live. I don't get the Tour de France coverage over here. I watched it over the Star Sports.
Tom Danielson did something very weird on the last stage. There was a rider pulling away from the rest of the peleton and he went up to him and talked to him. Later Tom Danielson got him back with the whole peleton. The commentators said it was weird.
Lucky fink, I wish we could have watched it here. The canadians did pretty well, at least Roland Green did! Eric Wohlberg was doing pretty well for a while there but lost a lot of time, but Green climbed back to 4th place and was King of the mountains. I was also impressed by the the japanese team. It looked like a great race.

Sorry guys, it wasn't Tom Danielson that went to pull the rider back. I can't remember what that guy name was. I think it was something O Niel.
