I have a question, should I purchase the Mavix 3.1 UST Disc rims for my bike? I want to get into Tubeless. If I get the rims, they will be on my specialized stout disc hubs . It's going to replace my mavic 139 rims. Should I get these rims for $70 each rim or just hold off for a bit. Btw, I ride a '01 Specialized Enduro FSR. I ride all types, mostly racing/x-country.
Thanks for the help.

I picked up a set of wheels from www.jensonusa.com that use Shimano XT disc hubs and Mavic X3.1 tubeless wheels.. and I couldn't be happier. Haven't had any problems with them, and I've been riding them a month or so.. I highly recommend the switch to tubeless. They roll fast as hell, too.

what tires did you use?
I know that's where I'm planning to get them, at Jenson, they're really cheap. Is there anything special I have to do since I'm using specialized stout hubs, with the spokes? And also, are '01 Specialized Stout disc Hubs any good?
Thanks again!
I have no idea about the hubs. I'm currently running Panaracer Trailblasters.. but I can't say I really like them that much. They're awesome in the mud/wet conditions, but they just SUCK when it comes to loose sand. They roll pretty quick in hardpack, but not quick enough for my tastes. I've got a set of Michelin Jet S's on the way in the mail, and I'm also going to order some IRC Serac XC tires for the looser stuff. If you want a good all around tire for cheap, I'd also recommend the Fire XC Pro by Panaracer.. those are dependable tires that hook up anywhere.
