Has anyone had any experience with this? It may be a sequel to my radial head crack last spring, or my Cat Scratch Disease and Lymph node biopsy this fall, but now I am through the very painful "freezing" phase and into the less painful "frozen" phase. I've had significant loss of range of motion. I'm currently in PT, and the natural "thawing" process should begin in another month. I'm told that even with PT I may not recover full ROM. Thanks to my elbow fracture, I'm now pretty light on the handlebars. Except for when I'm practicing wheelies, I have no pain riding, but it is interferring with my ability to look back.

My Mum got a frozen shoulder a few years ago, it took max of two months to heal back to normal if I remember rightly, but was good as new then. She's not a cyclist however, so I don't know how it specifically affects cyclists, and to be honest I don't remember too much about it. I can ask her about it though if you have any specific questions

Hope it gets better soon

I have been made a believer in physical therapy. After almost 2 months of NSAIDs, the physical therapist gave me exercises on Friday that I did on Saturday and Sunday, she then gave me one ultrasound treatment and remeasured my ROM. It had improved by 40 degrees! There is nothing like results to motivate you!

Wheelies! Cool!! I've never tried one of those...at least not intentionally.

I also had a frozen shoulder years ago, the result of a former boyfriend (keyword here is "former") wrenching my arm rather forcefully. After some weeks of pain and not being able to use my arm much I went for medical attention. They recommended a series of 3 exercises of about 50 repetitions each done at least twice a day. At the end of 2 months I had recovered full range of motion. I still do have a twinge in my collarbone area if I try to do too much heavy work for an extended time period.

I do have a bit of trouble turning my head to look back...don't know if that is a result of the shoulder injury. Maybe I should have mentioned that to the PT's.

Glad you are improving...don't you just hate this aging process?!?
