What do you think of a thread for things like the best Anorak with reflective piping, or the best new Specialized helmet? We could talk about our hydration systems and outback tool kits. Shoes, Shades, Leg Warmers...

Yeah, I'd like to see a gear forum
I think it's a good idea. It would free up the General Discussion of a lot of threads that consist of "this product vs. this product" discussions. Good thought! :)

And, actually, I ride Shimano.
Seriously though, a gear section sounds interesting.
I think equiptment thread would be good.
