General Cycling Discussion - I haven't seen it all, but I'm one step closer!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Riding in to work today, I passed the usual handful of seniors, dog walkers, joggers, other folks on bikes, a few other commuters etc. But I had to take a triple take when a gentleman passes me going the other way -- with his helmet on backwards?! Was he worried about a head-on collision? Was he being funny? Was he a Fred(tm)?

I conclude he was, indeed, a Frederickus Maximus. Good for a hearty chuckle

I have seen lots of people wearing their helmet backwards, without the strap. hanging off of the back of their head, and so on... Some of the cheaper helmets(think mushroom head) look essentially the same front and back.

I've seen it a couple of times but it always cracks me up.

I saw a car burst into flames on my ride the other night, made the ride nteresting.
