The tour is WAY more fun to watch without you. Adios.

It's not his fault.

The tour is fun either way. I'm welcoming the change, but I did enjoy the LA years.

Yep. Celebrating Armstrong's absence doesn't do any Tour any justice. The change is good this year. Although one can argue that it would have been just as much fun watching an Armstrong-Ulrich-Basso duel - LA has had bad days in the past.

LA has had bad days in the past.
Yes he did - not many, but a few. And how he managed to make it through them and still be in yellow at the end of the day - well, those were the days when Lance showed just how good he really was. Like him or not, he was a truly remarkable athlete.

As sorry as I am at Floyd's demise, I am enjoying the anarchy of this year's Tour. I don't think it's better or worse than in the Lance years - but it is different, and it is fun.

I think a key reason to this Tour being more exciting and unpredictable is that Basso and Ulrich are not here. . .Were they here we probably would have had as boring a tour as the Giro was this year with Basso smiling his way to total domination.

7 years was a long time. i enjoyed watching LA but that's getting close to a decade of being the ring leader. that's a lot for any fan to take. eventually you need new blood (and i don't mean blood transfussions!!) to keep things interesting.
