Anyone got a pic of 2006 Randonee? What the hell if "coffee" ;)

Gratzi.

Sorry for the garbled syntax. What I meant to ask was if anyone has a candid photo of the "coffee" color of the 06 Randonee--on REI's site it appears gray. REI said they don't have any photos.

Great bike - great price. If I was going on a RTW tour I would upgrade a few things, but if you get one with the 20% off coupons they have several times a year it will only be $799 and leave you lots of $$$ for upgrades if you desire. For everyday use and short tours I would leave it stock and do the upgrades as things wore out.

The colour doesn't show up too well in these pics, but it is a really nice dark brown. The bike has a classic look.

I built up a Surly LHT (with a really nice spec) and it cost me over $3000. If I was to do it all over again I'd get a Randonee and do the upgrades later. The Surly is a great bike, but building any bike from scratch is going to cost more than buying a complete bike and the Randonee is an equally fine ride.

I've got a 2005 and seen the 2006. It is kind of a deep bronze with less yellow in it.

The 2006 is dark coffee brown and it only comes in that colour for 2006.

Thanks! If anyone out there has photos of their 06 Randonee, I'd love to see 'em.

Vik:

Nice looking bike. I noticed that you don't have the bottom bottle cage on. If you try and put a normal one on it will conflict with a fender or if the bottle is long enough then the tire. I solved this problem by going to Cannoncale cages that have a metal strap with the mounting holes, but also a slot. Mount it low using the slots and it's fixed.

I really like my bike.

Thanks for the tip Fred. I haven't even thought about that yet, but I can see that clearance will be an issue.

They are probably out of stock on all sizes temporarily. Its a popular bike. Especially during periods when they offer their 20% coupons.

Even if it is off the website stores will still have some in stock.

They'll be back. If you really want one call the maillorder number and ask for an ETA.
