You can do all that, but sometimes you will still get hit.

The road is dangerous, obviously. But you can easily reduce your risk by doing the things listed. The majority of bike/car accidents around here are caused by cyclists either not obeying the rules of the road or riding at night with no lights etc, but then there are always the accidents that are unavoidable. Personally I ride smart so I am not the one causing the accident and it's the other drivers I have to worry about.

I would be a messenger for a little while. Since now Ive gotten over the deathly fear of being hit by a car, I can ride more agressively. But I think being a messenger too long, would get tireing.
So is the US bicycle messenger industry basically limited to major cities like NYC, Chicago, LA, San Fran, and some Oregon places? That's all I was really able to find. Anybody else know of any places?
ask in the ss/fg forum.
i dare ya.
