Hey, just joined this forum and spent quite a bit of time reading through the posts here. I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can find the specs for my bike online. I've done a number of google searches and have come up with nada.
Here's some backround info, back in '96 I bought a Trek 830 Mt. Track XC (22.5" frame) It's been rarely used and is still in almost perfect condition. I really like the feel of this bike, but some of the components are severely lacking. My plan is to upgrade things as they wear out or break. I'd like the first upgrade on this bike to be the fork. It's currently non suspension, so I'd like to find the specs on the bike so I know what to replace it with. I'm mainly going to be trail riding with it, and it's not going to be anything too extreme, but I'm a fairly big guy, 6'1 ~ 200lbs, so I'll probably need to take that into consideration as well. Any suggestions or recommendations? And yes I do realize that for what I'll spend on upgrades I could probably get a brand new rig.
