I posted last week that I was trying to decide between a Kona Blast or a Rocky mountain fusion. Well i found what I think is a good deal on a Kona and I just wanted some opinions on it. Its last years Kona Kahuna. It is full suspension with a vanilla coil shock. I love the looks of the bike and it was MSRP of 999.00 last year and I can pick it up brand new for 800.00. If any one has any experience with this bike I would love to hear it. Thanks

The Kahuna has a more xc race oriented geometry. The geometry is not as sever as the King Kikapu so it will also work nicely for trail riding. It is a great bike. It comes with good components and rides very nicely. Also, Kona is a great company and very easy to deal with. You should be happy with the bike.

All kona bikes usually pack alot of punch for the money. my friend rides a kahuna and he is in love with it. so if i were you i would go with the kahuna. the bike is a xc bike but it can withstand some good hits.

Thanks for the replies. I have found out that this years model is better spec'd for just 80.00 more. I can get a better front fork and disk ready wheels.
I will probably be picking one up soon

Good choice. I have been riding Konas from their beginning. I have never had a problem with any of the bikes. You will enjoy the ride and the frame should last you many, many upgrades as they are needed(or like some of us, as you feel they are needed;) )
