Hi all
I would like to get opinions from existing users of the 2003 DeoreXT crankset and possibly the RaceFace Prodigy XC. I looked at mtbr and i couldnt make up my mind....some love them some hate them. Any owners?
Also are the EASTON carbon bars reliable? I would like to know about the downhill monkeylite carbon vs the EA70 alloy risers.
thanks again.

I've been riding a monkeylite on my bike now for about 4 months, no complaints. BTW, I'm a big guy (225+ lbs) mounted to my freeride bike.
The Easton bars are stronger than many aluminum bars. I'd get them!
Regarding the cranks, there is a similar debate already discussed!
Do a quick search here!

I've had my CT2 flatbars for over 4 years now. I've taken quite a few hard crashes and have even hooked them on stray limbs (yes I do run barends with carbon bars). They've held up pretty well. Of course I'm more of an XC than a downhill rider.

I have '03 XT cranks on my Stinky and they seem to work fine. The bike sees any thing from 25 mi xc rides to light dh use with drops up to 6' and they are holding up well.
Easton makes some of the best bars out there. You should also look into their Scandium DH bar. Mine has taken some good hits and is still stright with no sign of fatigue.
