Can't read private messages

I can't seem to read my private messages. It tells me I'm signed in but everytime I try to rwad my messages it asks me to log in again.

Cleared cookies - did not help.
Explorer/Windows NT
Yes but always had them
About a week or two.

Checking the "remember me" box solved my problem.
