When the Tour started w/o Ullrich and Basso, I thought Cunego might have the opportunity to rise to the top. He showed some promise a couple of years ago. What happened to him? He challenged for a stage but hasn't played much of a role in the overall race. Too young still?

Yep, still too young. Another 2-3 years.

I think he has been rather consistent being so young in his first tour, and pretty much without a team. If he can pick up his time trialing he will be scary good.

Let's hope so. Then he can keep the white jersey.

Cunego has done very well......don't forget his team is 'nothing to write home about' (aussie speak for: not very good, nothing special), so that won't have helped him. His major focus would of been the Giro as well, not many 'peak' for the Giro & TDF....don't worry about Cunego, plenty of potential there & potentially a future TDF winner, on the right team

Cunego is faster than Fothen at the first time check...

Scratch that... LANG was only a few seconds faster than Cunego at the second time check!

It appears Cunego can turn in a decent TT to go along with other abilities we've already seen.

Future's pretty bright.
