Hey if any of you are competing in this year's Tinman and see a wrench wandering around in the bike station in a black specialized shirt, say hi. I'll get down there around 33:30 and will be working at the King street Bike Shop afterwards, so feel free to introduce yourself.

oh and be gentle slamming your carbon wheels on the sidewalk........it hurts my ears and heart to hear that noise

Missed you in the coral, but what a good race it was. It was actually my first big tri and I outperformed what I was hoping for by 45 minutes..

The one thing that surprised me though, was during the bike (which I proudly places 150'ish in) the guys that would cruise by me, with what we'll call super tri bikes (I ride a Trek Equinox, but no extras or fancy stuff), were all riding bikes that sounded like absolute hell. The ones with the disk rear wheels (I don't know what they're called) all sounded like they had some kind of rubbing going on, and all of them without exception sounded like there was all kind of chain rubbing going on some where.

I'm pretty new to the sport still, but I'd rather a bike thats a little heavier while still being solid.

Either way, congrats to any one else who raced and finished, especially if you came in before me!
