Touring - WI and MI camping?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I planning a trip soon and need camp site info for Green Bay,WI N to Escanaba,MI. We are doing a trip around the UP and seem to have the top of the lake and the east side figured out. Camping areas seem to be few and far between. Country parks are OK also. Right now looks like we will need room for about 5 people. I hope that someone has been over that route.
Thank you

There's a Mich. Sate Park (J.W. Wells) at Cedar River, about midway between Menominee & Escanaba. There's also a State Forest Campground just a couple of miles inland from US-2 at Cedar River, which will be much more quiet & rustic.
A bit N. of Escanaba, at Rapid River, are a couple of private campgrounds.

I know there are more out there somewhere, just not in "my favorites" yet.
Invest in 'Round Lake Michigan by Harvey Botzman. It has details on camping and services, along with route suggestions/cue sheets. I stayed at Badger Park in Peshtigo, many state forests in the UP, and there are state parks all down the Michigan coastline, some of which actually have biker sites, however not all. Michigan is pricey for camping.
