i'm pretty sure it's the bottom bracket that's making the noise. anyone else experience this? fixable or replace? if replace then what should i get for it? it's last years khs flite 100 (yellow one).

if nothing is loose its not fixable. Take it into a shop and have them tighten it if you are unsure about tightness. Mid-range shimano bbs are more then adaquate if it has to be replaced.

check the chainring bolts for tightness first. shimano un53 bottom bracket should work well.
