Custom Status Help

Ok, call me dumb, but I can't seem to figure out how to create a custom status for myself. The help file says If the administrator has enabled custom status titles, then you can specify the text you want to display by editing your profile and entering the text you want in the Custom User Text field.

I can't seem to find the Custom User Text field. Any help would be appreciated.
