Any of you out there ridden the 2006 slayers? I am wondering what they are like for downhilling as well as climbing? How do they compare to the giant Reign?

Some do but they are all xc guys. Personally I think the slayer looks like crap, the bike fits into the way I ride perfectly but I just wouldn't ever pay the money for an RM...just a personal thing. I can give you some conjecture based on my buddies riding of them.

Awesome, pedalling is incredible, they feel lightweight. The geometry suits dh and can be a little slack for the steeper uphills but it suits west coast riding to a tee.

Can't offer much more than that, he ended up going for 2 bikes instead of trying the mystifying one bike. He bought a session and built a v10.
