so we all know hes going under the knife here soon, and you cant help but think its in the back of his head after all the celebration is over. Im shure he will fight like a mennonite (funny not found) to make a speedy return to cycling, and im thinking he will be back for next years tour to do this all over again.
Thanks for a Great Race Sir Floyd:beer:

As humble and level-headed as he is, I'm sure he's already come to grips with the possible negative aspects of the surgery.
while there's always a risk with a hip replacement, we're still talking about a hip replacement, which is a pretty common operation these days.
he'll be walking within 24 hours of getting it. granted it'll be 6 weeks before he can raise his knees above his hips, and things like that.
of course, the real question is whether he'll be able to put it up to the full stress that he would a normal hip. it'll take awhile, and i expect a later start to the season for him (no Tour of California I would think), but...
guess we'll have to wait and see.
