Hi.
Just got a Di Blasi R6 folder, I really like it but I think I need to do some work on it. I'm wondering if there are other Di Blasi bicycle owners here on the forum. Would like to find a parts source, either online or in Amsterdam. The rear brake doesn't work (the metal drum is not attached to the wheel and spins freely), I need a new seat (only the top of it, part 565), and I could stand to replace the rear light (part 935). Would like to find some accessories, too, like a rack or basket. Let me know what you know.

Have you tried:

http://www.diblasi.it/SalesNet.asp?Naz=HOLLAND

or

http://holland-bikes.nl/index.htm

Yeah I tried them, I got a lot of info about the bike off the Di Blasi website. I was surprised how much, actually. They had the old brochure there, a part-number diagram, and a history of the models from the company. They list holland-bikes.nl as one of their distributors, but it's a bit far from Amsterdam. And the other ones they list are handicap-product distributors (apparently Di Blasi is also in that business). Thought maybe somebody might know of a shop here in town that sells these bikes or parts for them, but thanks for looking out. I might have to go out to that one shop up north if nobody turns up.

Well, I epoxied the brake drum to the plastic wheel yesterday to try and stop it from spinning free under braking. I let it sit overnight and I'll try it out today, hoping for the best. Carmelo Di Blasi has been advising me about the seat I need, seems like 50 Euro though for the whole assembly, which I don't need (just the padded part). Also he's sending free of charge a replacement handlebar hook because apparently there was a recall.

Yeah, epoxy didn't hold up. Duh. Even though it's fairly hi-temp stuff, it melts after a little coast-braking. On to plan B - drill through the wheel and drum, and screw them together.
