- although the Target web page doesn't have the details, these 700x28s are made in Japan by Panaracer, and have a Speedblend RT label... wire bead... min PSI: 90, max PSI: 120... each tire comes rolled, folded in a big box, so ordering three tires results in delivery of a big box!

- US$19 (although shipping is expensive!):

- don't know how long Target will have 'em...

That is a Pasela, not a Ruffy Tuffy. Nothing against the Pasela, I am buying
one manana for Sis. But it ain't a RT

isn't that pretty close to the same price you'd get them from Rivendell? Especially if shipping is expensive.

Everything at Ricendell is expensive. They don't list the
price on the website, but I bet it's way more than Target.
They do, however, have RTs in SpeedBlend for $43.

- i wouldn't know the difference really... just quoting the label on the tire... no mention of 'Pasela'...

- full label quotes:

Hi,
the RT has a distinctive checkerboard 'tread'. It is really just a bit if style, since it's so fine it rubs off after a few days of riding. You can see the Pasela up close
at the Panaracer website.

WHile the RT has the classic profile, the Pasela is broad shouldered with real tread.

I just ordered a pair for a bike I am building up. FYI, you can get 10% off of an order with the promo code <b>TCVTFEBD</b> right now. I saved $4 on two tires and shipping, apparently.

Two tires with the discount code and shipped to Minnesota was about us$48.

- tks for the code! i just mounted my pair onto a spare set of Equipes, although i have some OPs for everyday use (both rims can take up to 28s)

- after i finished mounting 'em, the wife unit asked, "Why the funky tires?"

- "Spin the tire really fast," I said, holding onto the skewers..

- "Oooh Coooool!"

:-)

Thanks for the heads-up and the code. I know this is a stupid question to ask now, but what color (or colors) do you get when they're spinning?

It says on the Riv website that Panaracer makes their tires for them, FYI.

While the RT has the classic profile, the Pasela is broad shouldered with real tread.Got mine today. I compared them against the Pasela at www.panaracer.com, and these are not Paselas. I have some Ruffy Tuffies, and these look just like them except for the speedblend. A great price for some RTs, which I like alot. Thanks again for the headsup, great deal.
