I have been doing some 50 mile rides and felt pretty good, so yesterday I took advantage of some cooler temps and set off early for my very first Century.
101.7 miles
6 hrs 43 mins
Av Spd: 15.1 mph
Mx Spd: 41 mph
Consumed 2 liters of 1/2 mix Gatoraid, 1 Liter H2O, 1-12oz Chocolate Milk, 1.5 Bananas, 1 Powerbar, 1 pkg PB crackers, 2 small pkgs gummy bears.
This was on my Rans F5, solo and unsupported.
I felt pretty good, I'm wondering how this ranks in the general world of Century riding? The longest I have ridden before this was a 57 miler.

Not too bad for a first century.....how much climbing?

Not a lot of climbing, I like to think I tackle some pretty good hills, but I'm sure there are many here who would consider my ride pretty flat.

I felt pretty good, I'm wondering how this ranks in the general world of Century riding? It's quite respectable, I'd say. Did you spend a lot of time off the bike to eat or rest or was that all pretty much one straight go?

I took some breaks, not too many and not more than 5 min or so. I did a quick route of it on Gmaps. I cut some corners and didn't follow the actual streets and trails exactly but the elevation profile should be pretty close.

Congrats. I'd say that was a pretty good time also. I did my first century this weekend and that time was better than mine and I've done a several 60 milers, a few 70 milers and at least one 80 mile ride in the past 2-3 years.
nice! well-done! 41 mph!!!!!!!
:) :)

In my book, your ranking is number 1.
Anyone who completes a century (regardless of the duration) is number one.
Randonneuring events say that all who complete the brevet ride receive the same "reward."
Congratulations on completing your first century !

Either. You choose the setting in the upper left section.
Nicely done!
Looking at the elevation map through me for a loop. I forget how hilly it can be around here. :D
