I realize there's some history with MERTON here in Foo, but a thread dedicated to him, while funny to some, is not right. I chuckled at a couple of the posts myself, but it's clearly a violation of the BF rules. If it gets deleted, it was because of me. I'm saying this so MERTON doesn't get wrongly accused of complaining to the mods.

Hmm...I saw the Merton thread briefly, but I didn't see the end, so I may have missed something.

It looked to me like a celebration of Merton-style off-the-wallness, not derisive, and all the people I saw post were Merton fans, not Merton haters.

If I'm wrong, don't correct me; I like my happy image of life.

You rock, MERTON. Hope the stepper motors are working for ya. (Oh, and wiper blade motors are awesome for small projects...)

It's not only in Foo, Zorro... it's all over. For a good laugh check out Bicycle Mechanic, oh and the Egg carrying one as well.

While, yes, they were jabs at the poor lad, I saw them all delivered with a good natured love, not malevolent attacks. A Celebrity Roast, if you will.

I was about to post in it too, but personally I think the fact no one takes him seriously and the fact people think he suffers from mental *********** is not very nice.
