Hey everyone,

Here is my introduction to let you all know a bit about me.

I have always loved bikes. I , as most of us, atarted young with tricycles. I really started to gain an affinity for them though when I had to take the bus to get to Middle schol. You see, for some reason I don't seem to mesh too well with allot of people. I really do like people though, it just seems as though I'm on a differennt wave lenght or something. That's a big part of the reason why UI just don't get why more people don't like utilize bikes more often to get to work and schlllo and run arrands. I'm sure so many of you have been stared at when you tell a co-worker that you rode 10 (!) miles to work! WHATTTTTT!!

Anywho, I really hated to ride the bus, because of the stagnant air in it theat seemed to smother me almost by the time I reached school. So, I started to ride my bike instead. I remeber that acouple of the students remarked tht I was always the guy riding past the bus in the morning, goig fasted than the bus! From that point, when I was 21, I lost my driviers licence, and had to get to work. I started riding. I really didn't know if I could make the 2+ miles that it took to get there, but eventually I really started to think nothing of it. From there, a coulpe of years later, I rode the TORSV, in OHIo , my home state, it's a 210mile two day ride! YEOW!

I now collect bikes abit and have just completed restoring an old COLNAGO SUPER, all friction gruppo, beautiful burnt red paint and nice crome. I found a gret source for N.O.S. parts. It is AMERICAN CYCLERY in San francisco. Great guys and they know a lot.

I also have my main bike, a 2000, TREK, 520,which I love. I bought on a pro deal from the bike shop I worked with at the time, RINCON Cyclery, here in Santa Rosa CA. Man this is a cyclists heaven out here.

I also have a 2001, Cannondale M-400, SoBe, promotional mountain bike. Coolness. I ahve two Schwinns, a three speed recer, from the 60's I think, and a sky blue 5 speed collegiate, which is my wifes.

Well, for now, that's me.

Nice to meet you all!

TERENCE

Hey everyone!

This is TERENCE again, just replying to all the responces that I recieved to my intro. Thanks guys! It's great to here form fellow bike nots and people one shares an affinity with. Such people are not nesesarily just around the corner.
Just to laet any of you knoe taht might be interested, there is a ride that is coming up this summer out here in California that is really a blast. The reason it is such a blast is that it is not just a ride, it is a whole weekends worth of events, entertainment which you can participate in,( such as the Huffy toss, a competition to see who can throw a Huffy the farthest), swap meet, camp out , and, while the eventis going on there is also a classic, custom, and street rod car show a block away!

The event which I'm talking about is THe GReat Western Bike Rally. It is in Paso Robles, California over Memorial day weekend. Seriously, this is a real great time. Drop everything and schdule time to make it. Check out their website which really understates the amount of fun the whloe event (and town) is on Memorial day weekend. Teh site is- gwbr.org. Check it out and feel free to mail me with any questions.

Your Cyber-Cycle pal,

TERENCE
