Foo - Posting on Foo and P&R

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I've been posting a lot on Foo and P&R because I have't been riding much in the past 6 weeks (wife had a bad case of mono and I have been busy with the kids)
I just cant think of much to say on the Road forum (which I usually frequent)
Does anyone else post on Foo/P&R when they are riding less?

Good point, I never see some of those guys in the actual bicycling-related sub-forums.
Maybe we just like to get away from it an hang with our buds. :p

Yeah don't mess with us red star people.....
I'd wager that on a per post basis us 'Lounge Lizards' have a higher star count than any other place on the forum. What'dya think about all this subsidizing we do sis? ;)
Sorry to hear about your wife's mono Albany. I hope she's getting better quickly.

I hang out in foo and I ride my bikes! The Road forum is kinda like P&R sometimes w/ all the sniping going on. I just hang out in the forums that are more fun.

I do go to road forums and triathlon.. I seems to spend more time in foo, just because I like the ambiance of laying back taking it easy.. mainly like everyone else, my life is high pressure.. so blowing off steam and having a good laugh is what I need when off work or off the course.

I've ridden over 1,700 miles this season, but when I'm online BF is my favorite spot. My time is roughly spent 80% Foo threads, 10% road bike threads, 8% Mt Bike threads and the rest is a mixture General Cycling, Advocacy & Safety, etc... I NEVER go to the P&R thread. Ever! That is like the devil. Who the heck wants to go there!? The Foosters are like my cyber buddies or cyber family. We don't always get along perfectly, but we're like family anyway. And Foo is the most fun and most entertaining part of BF IMO.

I remember my thread about my last race report bring moved into triathlon and It was amazing to me how many people from foo went in there to write congrats and kind words to me, if it had not been for those people, the thread would of went unnoticed.. that says a lot about us foosters:love:

Hah! I post all the time (Total Posts: 577 (8.07 posts per day) ) and still put a hell of a lot of miles on my bike! Hmmm... my cycle comp says 980 miles since the beginning of June. Not too shabby. Kinda low on the miles this month, but I've been sick and REALLY busy... I'll get more next month!

Yeah, I've been putting down around 300miles a month since the heat's gotten so bad out here. I was putting down around 450 a month before that.
When you ride every single day, it's not hard to rack up miles. I also only get around 4-5hours of sleep a night average....that leaves 19hrs....10hrs for work (slack on the forums during a part of that), so 9 hours....that's a lot of time to get my ride on.

When I was single I spent a lot more time on the bike... and yeah, I was doing the 4-5 hours a night of sleep, too. Damn, I kind of miss that... I was never tired then, either.
The lounge is the place to hang when you get off your bike. :)
The rest of the sub-forums are full of bike geeks talking shop. Most of the time that's just BORING!
Does anyone else post on Foo/P&R when they are riding less?
Yeah, I tore my calf muscle on June 4th and I'm just barely getting back into simple, rehab rides. Visiting the other forums is like pouring salt on an open wound since you really, really, really want to ride, but you can't. :(

The majority of my posts are submitted while I am at work. Don't tell my boss. :D
Working at night has it's pros and cons. Yeah, I proactively and consistently post to BF's. :D
I ride my bike pretty much everyday because I am addicted and it is great therapy for me.

Never go offline after having been in the P&R forum. You'll try to slug the first person you see.
