Mountain Biking - Cloud 9?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Anybody run a Cane Creek Cloud 9 rear shock? Thinking of getting one for my bike, cane creek has a trade in program that knocks $100 off when you trade in your old shock. Plus the company is pretty close to my house so I'd be supporting a local business. The good, bad, and ugly on this shock would be appreciated. It would be going on a Jamis Dakar XC. thanks

If I had a FS bike, I'd get a Cloud 9. I'ver heard they are beyond sweet. One thing to note, the Cloud 9 doesn't use any Stable Platform / Pro Pedal valving. This means that your no-Horst-link-having Jamis may encounter some pedal bob.
