Got an old MTB frame (mid 90s) with nice geometry and a long wheelbase. I notice it's got a tange 1000 cromo sticker on the base. How good is it? I'm betting middle to low?

tange 1000 was straight gauge chromoly down tube, seat tube and top tube. The stays and and fork are likely HiTensile steel. It would be considered a lower end frame by most. For touring it will likely be a bit stiff and a bit heavy. It wouldn't be my first choice for a MTB tourer, but if it was what I had to ride, I would ride it and not give it another thought.
